Not so much something to make in the kitchen here, more a “making use of what you’ve got” kind of thing.

Got young kids? Then odds on they have mountains of marbles to play with.

So steal a few (well, a good bag full really) and try one of these two “massages”.

Fill a plastic washtub with warm water (add some bicarbonate of soda for a soothing soak, or a few drops of lavender, rosemary or peppermint essential oil for extra relaxation).

Roll your feet about on the marbles as you bathe your feet for up to 15 minutes.

If you don’t fancy getting your feet wet, put the marbles in a fabric bag, or a pillowcase, and roll your feet over the bag as you’re sipping a herbal tea (or a proper cuppa!) or relaxing in front of the TV.

If you don’t have a ready supply of marbles in the house, they aren’t expensive to buy – you’ll be able to get them at your local supermarket or any toy shop.

And then you can have a bit of  fun going back to childhood and play a game of marbles with your partner or friends.

Rediscover your inner child.

So this one’s good for your mind, body AND soul.
